If you notice excessive vibration in your truck’s steering and a slight shimmy at certain speeds, there is something wrong with your vehicle and it needs immediate attention. If your truck is pulling a bit towards the left and the right while steering, it could either be because of a wheel alignment issue or perhaps the king pin in your axle is worn out. The king pin is one of the most essential parts of a vehicle that connects the trailer to the fifth-wheel, and is exposed to a great deal of wear and tear. Custom Spring & Welding offers king pin replacement services in Thorburn. We have the right equipment and expertise to work on all makes and models. Schedule a visit today.
Upon your visit to our shop, we will thoroughly check your vehicle and disassemble the axle safely. If the axle is worn out, it need not be removed from the truck. We have the equipment to bore and sleeve the axle to the truck. In case we find that the king pin needs replacement and the axle needs to be bored out, we will go ahead without removing the axle from the truck; this can save you down time and will allow you to get back into operation quickly. We will also perform a wheel alignment as soon as the king pin is replaced, saving tire wear and fuel.
